Two Night/Three Day Safari
This is a fantastic safari!
You will have one day in the renown Serengeti National Safari Park and one day at the World Heritage site of the Ngorongoro Crater - known as the 8th Wonder of the World.
Itinerary:
On the day you arrive at Kili International Airport (JRO) you will be met by SKAS at the airport departure and transported to your accommodation in Arusha. There you will overnight.
Day 1.
Arusha to Serengeti
In the morning we will collect you early after your breakfast and now your safari really begins as we transport you in our 4 x 4 Landcruiser to the Serengeti National Park (which takes around 5 hours - pack lunches and cold drinks are on hand) with its endless plains stretching out as far as the eye can see. You will pass through open plains and begin to experience the vastness and wealth of wild animals living in their natural habitat on your route to your overnight lodge, driving through the Lobo area north of Soronera.
You may see elephants, lions, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, hippos, hyenas, leopards and even possibly the somewhat elusive rhino.
This area is known as the route of the world’s greatest mammal migration. The main migration takes place at the end of February and the beginning of March.
In the evening, you will head back to your lodge accommodation at the good quality Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Lodges. This is absolutely magical and we say this with first hand experience as all of our staff have experienced a night there - (We all sample all accommodations before we book for our clients). There you will relax and rest after a full day and have your evening meal.

Day 2.
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater game drive. Half of the day approx will be spent in the magnificent Crater floor. Known as the 8th Wonder of the World and an UNESCO World Heritage Site the Crater is an amazing basin full of abundant wildlife. You should see the ‘Big Five’ - Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Black Rhino and Buffalo as well as an abundance of rare bird species.
(Furthermore, from the Central Caldera, Ngorongoro Crater has two volcanic areas - Olmati and Empakai which are famous for their stunning waterfalls, the latter holding a verdant deep lake).
In the Crater itself is an abundance of animal life - wildebeest, buffalos, zebra, Grant’s gazelles, elands, warthogs, hartebeests, bushbucks, waterbucks and Bohr’s reedbucks amongst others.
Common to see here also are lions, black rhino, buffalo, wildebeest.
In the afternoon we head for your second nights accommodation which will be the Mvuli Lodges in Karatu. You can relax on the sun terraces, your rooms private balcony or in the swimming pool. The restaurant boasts fantastic food and fantastic service.
The following morning you will head back to Arusha. On the journey back we will stop at Safari Land; The Cultural Heritage Centre and The African Art Gallery for a chance to buy gifts, produce and enjoy the onsite restaurants.

Dinner is not included as you will be driven back to your accommodation/or the airport on that evening.

Day 1 Arusha to Tarangire
After your breakfast we will collect you from your accommodation in Arusha in our luxury 4 x 4 landcruiser and begin the safari heading to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is famous for its savannah, majestic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and its lagoons. It is also famous for its large elephant herds which thrive here by the waters edges.
Also near the Tarangire River you are likely to see a variety of animals including giraffe, wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, lions, bushbuck, hartebeest, oryx, gerenuk and less likely leopards and cheetah. Sit back and observe the wildlife and enjoy the views from your landcruiser. We will drive on to Taranqire Sopa Lodges, 1-2 hours drive on from Tarangire NP. Here you will have dinner and your first night in relative luxury.
Day 2 Tarangire to Serengeti
After breakfast we’ll drive on from Mto wa Mbu to the Serengeti. This will take approx 2 hrs. We will travel through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation area. Briefly we will stop at the Ngorongoro Crater gate and take in the breath-taking viewpoint. Next you will have the option to visit the Maasai Village, immersing yourself in the interesting culture of the Maasai tribe - who are known for their practices of lion hunting and drinking raw animal blood. This stopover is optional - we can either stop and visit, or press on with the safari tour.
You will arrive in the Serengeti late afternoon and begin a game drive in the Seronera area of central Serengeti.
Our accommodation will be The Heritage Luxury Tented Lodges.
Day 3 Serengeti to Ngorongoro.
After breakfast we will embark on a game drive in the Serengeti until lunchtime where we will return to the lodges to eat.
After lunch we will do a further game drive as we leave the Serengeti and take a 3 hr trip to our next lodge at the Ngorongoro gate. Our lodge tonight is the good quality Mvuli Lodges located in Karatu town. The service here really is second to none.
Day 4 Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After early breakfast, we will go down into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater wondering at the sight of so many animals and in search of the elusive black rhino, which is the most difficult to spot. Other species being much easier to see.
After our lunches we will continue the game drive before heading back out of the Crater and returning to our lodge to get ready to vacate and head back to Arusha. You will be dropped back at your accommodation and here your 4 day safari ends.
The wildlife you will have seen are: lion. black rhino, buffalo, zebra, hyena, wildebeest, elephant, hippo, leopard, giraffe, cheetah, wild dog and a variety of beautiful wild bird species.
